With 15 spots to its Change Makers GX Summit up for grabs for Australian and New Zealand travel advisors, G Adventures has announced the return of its ‘Change Makers’ reward campaign for 2024.
This year, the 15 advisors will join a contingent of 75 global agents along with G Adventures team members and suppliers at a yet-to-be-revealed destination to celebrate the impact of community tourism.
The Change Makers challenge will run until 31 May 2024, urging agents to focus on the societal impact of travel by booking with the adventure travel company.
Agents can earn a chance to win a space simply by booking G Adventures trips, with one booking receiving one entry into the draw. The top 10 agents from each region qualify.
Additionally, each region has five “wildcard” spaces for agents who book at least one G Adventures trip and meet specific rules.
The wildcard challenges for 2024 include completing G-learning training, raising funds for G Adventures’ non-profit partner, Planeterra, and a reward for the agent who has “changed the most lives” between 1 June 2023 and 31 May 2024.
The program will run alongside the You Belong with G experience initiative.
“Last year’s Change Makers Summit was the most phenomenal event G Adventures has ever hosted, especially being a part of the inaugural GX Summit,” G Adventures APAC Managing Director Sean Martin said.
“There’s nothing more rewarding for me than seeing our global community of agents come together to celebrate our success and the impact we have on improving lives in the countries we take our travellers to.
“This year is set to be even more epic, and I can’t wait to host our Aussie and Kiwi agents – and to reveal more details in due course.”
Martin also lauded the contribution of G Adventure’s “biggest champions”, its agency partners, to whom the company is “100 per cent committed”.
“We now have two incredible campaigns in the market to encourage our agency community to change more lives through travel – 2024 is off to a rocking start,” he remarked.
At last year’s summit, guests were treated to a ‘Gold’ themed party at the Incan temple, Qorikancha, as well as a live performance by the Village People at the after-party.
